Proactive Boat Care
Boat safety is one of the most important criteria for customer satisfaction.
Boat owner entrust marinas with their valuable boats and expect due dilligence in protecting their property.
Maximum safety for your boat
Boats spend most of their time in their home marina. During these long storage periods, boats are exposed to aggressive conditions (corrosion, galvanic currents, etc.) which may have a serious impact on their safety. Proactive Boat Care is an innovative and award-winning system which combines modern technology and our lasting experience in the marina industry to ensure the maximum safety of every boat during the long storage periods in the marina. Our system relies on two important components: firstly, we provide marinas with the technology to improve their internal safety procedures, and secondly we provide the boat owner with the technology that allows them to monitor their boat 24/7 using state-of-the-art sensors.
Reinventing the visual inspection
Marina staff performs regular dock walks to check the status of every boat in the marina. Using our technology, the status is now recorded straight into our application on a rugged smartphone. Every activity performed on the vessel is logged with a description and a photo. The boat owner has a recorded log of all the activities performed by the staff of their marina. They can review all of these activities in our FREE MOBILE APPLICATION, as described below. * In order to use this feature, your marina must be equipped with our marina management software. If you’d like this function to be available to you, please find more information here.
Monitoring your boat 24/7
Proactive Boat Care goes far beyond visual inspection. We are using the cutting-edge Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology to monitor all the vital parameters of your boat. We can detect potential threats for your boat long before they become a real hazard. As a boat owner, you can now equip your vessel with our sensors which can sense the presence of the water, detect smoke/heat in the cabin or simply monitor your batteries. If any of the measurements should raise any concern, the system will automatically alert you as an owner, but even more importantly, it can notify your home marina. Based on those warnings, the marina staff can take appropriate actions to save your property.
This sensor monitors the bilge and detects the presence of water. Whenever water is detected in your bilge or pumped out from the bilge, you will be notified via the mobile application and email. Your marina can be notified as well.
This sensor monitors your batteries and provides you with all the relevant information and informs you of actions to be taken, such as when to recharge your batteries or whether there is a sudden voltage drop due to a potential short circuit. The battery life expectancy can be significantly extended with our sensors and proper maintenance (up to 10 years).
This sensor will warn you if smoke or heat are detected in you cabin, indicating a potential fire threat. You will be notified, but more importantly your home marina can also be notified immediately. This simple and inexpensive sensor can prevent enormous damage not only on your boat, but on nearby boats as well.
Starting from only 4.99€ per month
Now you can monitor your boat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for a negligible fee. All sensors can be purchased separately, and you can buy additional sensors anytime and add them seamlessly to you existing system.
5% discount for every additional sensor!
So you pay 9,48€ for two sensors, 13,47€ for three sensors on board.
Mobile application for boat owners
The Proactive Boat Care mobile application displays all data and information collected from different sources in a simple and structured form. Within seconds, you can see the latest photo of your boat, an inspection log from the marina with the list of marina employees who checked your boat and potentially carried out activities required to protect your property. You can instantly check all the measurements collected from the various sensors you installed on your boat as well as possible alerts or warnings generated by those sensors.
The latest photo taken during the visual inspection is displayed in high quality.
An inspection log for the last 7 days, displaying the list of marina employees who checked your boat and potentially carried out activities required to protect your property.
Measurements from all the installed sensors are displayed in simple form. You can click on the measurements for more information.
If an alert requires the owner’s attention or action, they will be notified via the mobile application and email. The marina will be notified as well.
Our system works best connected to your home marina
If your home marina is not equipped with our software yet, and you as a marina customer want to have the all the benefits described above, please recommend us to your home marina. If your home marina upgrades to our Proactive Boat Care software based on your recommendation, we will provide you with a 50 % discount on our sensors for the first contract year!
We can significantly extend the life expectancy of your batteries
Batteries are generally supposed to last at least 7-10 years according to the manufacturers’ specifications. However, due to improper maintenance, batteries usually last 3-4 years. Most boat owners are not aware that batteries discharge on their own at a rate of up to 5 % per month. If you do not charge your batteries immediately, sulfation occurs and your battery permanently lose some of its capacity.
The ideal battery maintenance would be to have a permanent shore supply and modern battery charger which has the functionality to continuously charge the batteries (float mode). However, a permanent shore supply is not allowed in most marinas due to the fire & safety regulations. Permanent shore supply is also very problematic because of a significant increase in galvanic currents (a closed electrical circuit through the common ground wire with the marina).
Therefore, the only workable solution is to receive the information on when to recharge the batteries and to recharge them properly either by yourself, by your marina staff or by subcontractors. Our system will notify you when to recharge you batteries to prevent damages from sulfatization.
Our satisfied customers
Since our recent introduction we are getting more and more satisfied customers every day. Please read some of their testimonials below…
I left the main switch of my batteries on, and the voltage of my batteries dropped within hours to levels which might have damaged my batteries. Luckily, I got a low battery warning from Proactive Boat Care and saved my batteries.
I had a hunch that my left engine battery was reaching its end, but no measurements to prove it. It is very difficult to determine when the battery needs to be replaced if you don’t have proper measurements. Thanks to the battery monitoring sensor I got a warning to replace the damaged battery.
